Meet our lovely team
Stephen
A cornerstone of Radiant Café since nearly the beginning. Always dressed in black and effortlessly sharp. He’s the kind of presence that gives the space its pulse.
Conversations with Stephen unfold easily, often drifting into something more meaningful. He brings a sense of openness that makes strangers feel like regulars and regulars feel like family.
Whether he’s pulling up in his Mercedes or settling into his usual spot, Stephen is woven into the fabric of what makes Radiant feel like home.
Alina
She’s one of our dear friends and longtime regulars here at Radiant. Alina walks in with the kind of smile that lights up the room — and always takes the time to ask how you’re doing. She cares deeply, notices the little things, and makes a genuine effort to connect with the neighborhood around her.
You’ll usually find her by the window with a flat white in one hand and a novel in the other—fully settled into her favorite corner at the café.
We spent the morning with her in her West Village apartment—surrounded by books, sunlight, and the same warmth she brings to Radiant.
Rufus
A brilliant thinker, writer, and true friend of the café. Thoughtful, open and endlessly curious. His writing is just as insightful as his conversations. Whether he’s discussing philosophy, politics, or something he read that morning, Rufus always brings warmth and perspective.
He’s also a quiet support behind the scenes, always ready to lend a hand when we need it. He’s one of those people who make the café feel like a true community.
Kannan
One of our dearest regulars, someone who feels more like family. He arrives with boxes of flowers for the neighborhood, a quiet smile, and small gifts tucked in his pocket. The rose outside our shop is always his doing, offered without a word.
We’ve watch him drink his coffee in the rain, feed the birds, and move through the world with such grace and care. There’s a gentleness to him that stays with you. We’re so lucky to know him.
Mark
An artist, a storyteller, and the hands behind our new window vinyl. He’s spent years painting the West Village—layering signs, letters, and life across the neighborhood.
We loved having him in, listening to bits and pieces of his journey, and watching him work with quiet care and intention. We’re so grateful for his help and to have him be apart of this moment.
Daniel
Most days you’ll find Daniel walking through the neighborhood with his dog, Chilina. We took time to sit down with him one afternoon, where he shared how much conversation means to him. His living room doesn’t hold a television—he prefers it that way, believing our spaces are meant to gather, connect, and linger together.
He spoke, too, about his love for design and his deep appreciation for natural materials, both of which bring him a sense of grounding. We’re so lucky for the warmth and care he brings into our community.
Fran
The lovely lady who’s always in our corner. Most mornings, you’ll find her at Radiant Café, journaling and catching up with neighbors as they come and go.
We recently visited Fran in her cozy, nest-like home—and were in awe of just how much of a creative and collector she truly is. From her father’s first pair of baby shoes to shelves lined with sentimental treasures, her space radiates a deep sense of home.
That same feeling of care and comfort, she brings with her into Radiant Café. We’re so grateful for Fran and all the love she pours into our community.
